Title: Strange file naming after import

The naming applied to imported files is unexpected and strange.  For example, I have a file named "2012-08-26_IMG_1973.jpg" and after import its "Name" in MC is "Img 1973".  Is there any user control over how the naming is performed?

Thanks.  I wish there was a way to turn Carnac off especially since there seems to be no way to override it when importing by drag-and-drop.
