Hello,
I am new with the product (I am a Foobar2000 user), in the past I tried for a while the V17, but at that date I hadn't my current large library.
Today I have a 6 TB library spanned over 2HD.
3 days ago I installed the ver 10.0.70, that I downloaded the week before, and I run for the first time the Auto Import of my 2 large HDs.
Well, MC 18 crashes two times before to complete the job. The first time just closed, while the second time froze.
Actually it looks to have imported all, but MC counts Albums, and so on, in a different way than Foobar, so I cannot be sure about: it now counts 5.2TB data, about 190,000 files, over 10,000 albums.
Any way to check if the library import went OK? Any way to run a library import check? or whatever else to verify that the job went fine and completed?
Thanks and regards,
Andrea

You can run auto-import manually and look at the report at the end. If it skips files, it will explain.
Also, crashes aren't normal. Please use Help > Logging to get a log if you can reproduce, and mail it to logs at jriver dot com.
190,000 files should work fine with a good computer. More on performance here:

Dear Matt,
to try to replicate the crashes, I have to remove all and reinstall all from scratch.
Do you want me to reinstall the old .70 I originally used, or the new .74?
Any suggestion on how to wipe-out everything of the old installation?
Regards, Andrea.

I know I'm not Matt and I'm sure he will correct me if he had something else in mind :).
- Backup your library: File/Library/Manager, Backup Library.
- Confirm the backup was succesful.
- Clear Library
- Help/Logging, Tick Output to a log file
- Recreate the problem
- If MC crashes; restart it
- Help/Logging, Report Problem
- Mail the log or attach it to a forum post.
You can then restore your Library:
- File/Library/Manager, Restore Library
- Find the backup, leave options ticked

Hello,
I again place the key question: Have I to try to recreate the problem with the old V18.0.70 or better to move to the new 18.0.74?
What's most useful for you?
Regards,
Andrea

Not my call but I would say there is little point in testing with the older version. If its solved, great. If not, it will fail with the new version too.
