When I imported my photos from my server which are grouped by folder name, I noticed that in the Images Library the Album name is the date of the photo. What I would like to have the import do is use the folder name for the Album name. Is there something I need to modify on import to make this happen?

Create an auto-import rule that sets Album to the desired folder component. You can use FileFolder(,1) for the parent, FileFolder(,2) for its grandparent, etc.

I hate to see this, but have no idea what you are saying....
Let's say I have the following folder structure
\Photos
\Spain
\Botswana
\India
Now what?

You've got an import defined to look in your photos directory/directories and import files from there, right?
There's a section of the import definition that allows you to define rules to assign values to tags automatically on import.
So, add a rule to assign the value of folder name to the Album tag. I've done exactly the same thing.
I can't remember the exact syntax of the expression you'll need to plug in, but you'll get a drop down list of possible functions. I think it might be FileFolder(,0) or something like that.
If you want to assign the folder name to files already imported then go into Library Tools and globally change the value of the Album field, using a similar expression.

Tools > Import... > Configure Auto-import... and then see attached image.
