Title: Podcast is different on client vs server
Post by: Castius on November 26, 2012, 11:47:19 am
I'm starting to move my podcast over to MC. But i ran into a problem.
I loaded a feed on the main server MC. Everything is good there. So i downloaded two of the episodes.

However when i get to work and connect to the library the podcast only shows the two episodes i downloaded.
And under episodes they say "not in feed".

This is the feed in case your interested.

I have to state again. I can't pull down new podcasts from work.
I don't' understand this limitation.

Media acquisition is only supported on the server.  Clients can only consume and tag.

You might configure the server to automatically download the episodes you want so they're available from work.

Or you should be able to play them when they're not downloaded from work, and playback will just stream them from the source.

Thanks, i'm doing that now that i'm home.
I can't even see new podcasts remotely unless i have it set to download automatically. While at the server.
The ones i do have just says "not in feed". You might as well not have a podcast section on the client.

I really miss the ability to manage my podcasts remotely.
I would like to add podcasts and then set them to download. So they will download to the serve.
Is there a security risk with this?
