Title: Can I set a default playback zone?
Post by: philosurfer on November 27, 2012, 08:07:40 am
Hi. I'm new to MC and am using it with Whitebear to feed a Logitech Squeezebox Touch that's connected to my Meridian equipment. The system works okay (haven't tried poking around in options; haven't gotten it to the level of SQ I'd get from a Meridian DVD player hooked directly into my system, but it's certainly better than shuffling discs!) but each time I run the software I have to set the zone to the Whitebear option. I've searched both the Wiki and the forum for how to set the default zone; I also couldn't find it in the software settings. I'm running MC18; does anybody know how to do this? (thanks)

Rich

While there is an option that is helpful for MC zones:

Tools > Options > Startup > Startup Interface > Location: Last Location.

it will not work for DLNA zones, as they are not available at startup; they have to be discovered, and this can take some time before MC receives the necessary announcements.

Thanks for the info. Is there a user programming language for the MC?

No need to reply to the above - I just stumbled across it.
