Title: how to stop showing the recently imported window?
Post by: ferday on November 27, 2012, 09:54:07 pm
this is a totally minor gripe so no big deal if i don't get anything....

i can't stand it when it goes to the recently imported tab as soon as a folder is imported!  is there any way to stop this?  again, no big deal i obviously can just go back where i was, but often i'm working on something while a folder is importing and it suddenly changes on me....

anything?

thanks and sorry for the irritating question LOL

I keep three tabs open in MC as shown in this screenshot:

The tab text is circled in the screenshot image.  Each tab has a fixed use:

- the left tab shows a view of the database.

- the middle view shows a view of the CD/DVD drive contents.  I use that tab for ripping CDs.

- the right tab shows the recently imported playlist.  I use that tab for importing files.  (I added an "Import" menu item to the top menu to make it a bit quicker to go through the process.)

The views in the left and middle tabs are not disturbed when I import files in the right tab.

The small forward and back arrows at the left end of the circled area allow you to return to a previous view with one click.  It does take that much effort but I found that dedicating tabs to ripping and importing felt much better.
