Title: I JUST WANT THE NORMAL SKIN
Post by: Jared on April 15, 2002, 01:27:51 pm: is there any way at all to command MJ somewhere in all of that XML crap and megaskins crap to just use windows' display and appearance settings??........every good player seems to want to do this once they get real good...they go and start getting fancy schmancy and trying to add looks to the program when most of the people i know just want a program to look like everything else on their computer.....i mean.......i wouldnt walk into a black tie dinner wearing clown shoes and a pink polka-dotted jacket.....so i dont want my media player looking like a spaceship when the rest of my conputer looks like a normal desktop.

Post by: RAVMAN on April 15, 2002, 01:50:12 pm: In an earlier post, they stated that skins can be disabled in a future build, and since this is a BETA, they want (force) people to test the mega skinning feature. Don't like it. Don't use the beta until it is released. Look for a thread directed to me (RAVMAN) and you will find a skin with a little more white and less blue.

My guess is that depends on a great many factors. Some of which could be: how many new features will be added, how many bugs have to be fixed, how good the feedback is from the beta testers...

As far as the current color scheme goes, there have been posted some skins and .xml files that will give you a more standard look and still allow JRiver to have us test the skinning. You can find them if you hunt through the forum.

Ravman, we're not forcing you to use skins. We just don't have a way to disable them.

I love the new MJ8 and can live with the blue color until there are more skins. A few examples already look very promising. Keep up the great work. I love MJ8 and look forward to the gold build.

They're just in camoflauge, trying to look like the others so they don't get fired on.

Possable, But I think it is more of a mix of all of them

I don't have any pref in Religion or Politics they are all the same to me.
