I have library of SACDs and CDs.
I am playing SACDs WASAPI even style -> DSD [over USB] to Mytek 192 DSD Dac. Great no problem.
But now when I try to play CD (44.1k) it will not play [JRiver display the message that I should switch to 44.1k], funny it plays 24bit 96k m4a files fine...
Any help/ideas how to achieve the playback?

I have the same DAC on my desk at work, and have not had this issue.
You might try the ASIO driver (and so 'DSD' as the bitstreaming mode).

Here is the message I am getting:
"playback could not be started using format 44.1k, 16bit, 2 Ch
this format would be possible to play using 44.1k, 24bit, 2 Ch
would you like to have your DSP setting changed..."
or something like that. Mytek shows 44.1k on display, after that I can play DSD files no problem and also 24 bit 96k files too...
I will investigate... main thing if this should work then I need to check my setup [win 7]
Can you check what are your settings? so I can copy them exactly?

You need to use 24-bit output if you use WASAPI (ASIO does this automatically). It's in DSP Studio > Output Format.

ok. it works well now. Thank you. Now my setup is basically what I want.
Mytek works perfectly with JRiver but not in WinXP [I had dropouts in XP using Kernel Streaming], now since I am using Win 7 PRO no problems...
