Title: Option to jump to the next album
Post by: Otello on December 02, 2012, 06:00:03 am
Well, I supposed it's a FAQ, but I couldnt find any thread about this matter...

With every player on the planet, if I select an artist and start playing an album, after the end of the last song the player jump to the first song of the next album; JR (panen view) start again the same album.
Sorry, but I think it's wrong: if I want to repeat the same album at libitum I do not select the artist, but the album...

I think I've perused all the options, but I couldnt find a way to change this behavior... Am I missing something?

Thanks
Marco

P.S. Please don't tell me to create playlists! :-)

Play the artist.

In Tools/Options/General/Behavior, you have some choices about playback.

Jim,

you mean "Play the artist" = "Double click on the artist in the upper browser"?

It works, but if I double click on a track (play it) the player start again to repeat the single album...
There's no way to change the behavior of the player, so it plays in sequence everyting in the lower browser instead of repeating the same album?

Thanks
Marco

The selection of tracks added to Playing Now for

    Change Tools > Options > Behavior > Double-click

is controlled by the current grouping in affect in the panes or file list.  If you want to play all from an Artist, either double click the artist in the Panes, or change the file list grouping to group by Artist and then double-click a song anywhere in that grouping.  This will start playing from the track you double-clicked, and will include all the tracks listed in that grouping (both those before and those after).

Change Replace Playing Now (all) to some other option if that works better for you.

Alternatively, you can Ctrl-A to select all the tracks in the file list and then press Enter.
