Title: how to import 16cd box set
Post by: tcman41 on December 08, 2012, 07:01:50 pm
How does one import a 16cd box set that has 16 discs each with their own title and cover art all under one box set name?

I want to have all the discs each with their own art (embedded in the files) show up under the overall name and cover art of the box set.

thanks

Set Album exactly the same on all CDs.

Set Disc # to be one of the values from 1 through 16, for each respective disc.

Add unique cover art for each disc.

There's no current way to show yet another cover art for the entire collection.  In a view that shows the Album, artwork from the first item will be shown, or a fan of all the artwork.

hmm, I would prefer to keep the album names for each of the 16 discs, these are remasters of 16 different albums, they just happen to be released as a box set.

Although, I did the Beatles remaster box set this way awhile back, I was just wondering if there was another way, guess there really isnt.

I didn't get the part about the albums being differently named.

If they are simply remasters or re-releases, I'd name them with the original Album names, supplement this with a Remastered designation via a separate tag such as Release Version (or in the album name - but this can have look-up problems).

You can create a view that shows you box sets if you care about this.  It could key off a Box Set keyword or other.

I can't advise about Box Set Artwork.
