Title: Sound Card
Post by: Dawgincontrol on December 14, 2012, 01:49:20 am
With JRiver Media Center, does a sound card even matter?

I stream ASIO via usb to a Music Fidelity VLink 192 to a DAC to my receiver for music.  For video I use HDMI.  Using JRiver settings wouldn't a sound card just be bypassed if I understand it correctly?

ive always found it comfortable to have a cheap (onboard) soundcard set as default for windows. so when a program wants to beep a bit, it does not mess with my asio card.
