Title: Support for Astell&Kern AK100
Post by: rmcclean on December 14, 2012, 01:46:32 pm
I have just purchased a MSQ supporting device from IRiver, called the Astell&Kern AK100.  It supports up to 24-bit, 96 KHz files.

As a result, I want to use Media Center v17 to rip my CDs into Monkey's Audio (.ape) format.  I have been using this format for some time to archive my CD's.  Now though, when I transfer the files to my AK100, and let it index the library, the indexes don't support the album folders that I have created with Media Center.  This used to work great with my Sony Experia Arc phone, even though I had to convert the .ape files to OGG format.

Funny, because anything I ripped previously with EAC and LAME to .mp3 format, transferred to my AK100 with no trouble, and indexed properly.
Is it something to do with IDv3 tag support, that is used in EAC, but I cannot find in Media Center?

Any thoughts, or help, would be appreciated.

Ron,

Do you still have the Astell & Kern. I'm curious about the machine. I'm considering to buy the AK240. Can you let me know if the GUI is usable.
