Title: Is MC18 available as a trial?
Post by: jimbones on December 17, 2012, 09:52:17 am
I currently am trialing version 17. Although i can get it to play i want to get it to play reliably before I take the plunge. Other than new features, does version 18 "fix" existing issues that i may be having? If so is it available in a trial version?

Trial version is available, even if you are a previous JRiver user.

There are fixes in 18 over 17, along with some added features.

Seems they stopped updating the BETA change log, but that details a lot of what's different.

You can also look through this post for some of the other updates to JRiver:

Just so you know...

That log was put together by a long-time user, Alex B.  He hasn't been popping in as much lately, but he's still kicking around (he did say he's been very busy with other things lately a few months back, so I suppose we can let it slide).

And it says "BETA" log... so it's not TECHNICALLY wrong, since JRiver 18 is no longer BETA.

For the most part, the main post about versions has all the same information anyway, so I'm not sure the change log is really required if you go into the latest version post.

Thanks for the info - I actually thought it was someone at JRiver keeping it up to date.
