Title: Two issues with using DLNA!
Post by: trcns on December 18, 2012, 08:30:49 am
Most of my music is in Lossless Wave and FLAC format. With DLNA configured, I noticed on MX 121 I noticed two things

1)   That it’s streaming in MP3 360 bit format and not in Source format. Do I need to configure something in MC18 or do I have to make a change on MX121 processor so it keeps its original bit rate and format?

2)   My monitor is connected through the MX121 processor. If I use HDMI for playing music, then video on my monitor passes through MX121 and show the computer information which is Theater View of MC and looks beautiful. But if I use DLNA the look and feel changes on the screen and it Looks terrible. How do I keep the MC look in DLNA?

You can configure DLNA conversion in Options > Media Network > Add of configure DLNA servers.  I think 'Always convert' to 24-bit uncompressed (or 16-bit if your device doesn't support 16-bit) is best.

Can I not configure it as sourse? Also 16 verses 24 reflects it as source format or does it?

Yes.  That would be called 'Never convert', on the dialog I described.
