Hello,
I recently quit apple products and purchased a Cowon X9. I also purchase MC 18 to manage my music. After spending hours upon hours of re-ripping my CD collection to FLAC, I was horrified when the sync with my X9 was converting to MP3. I manually set up they sync to use the FLAC encoder, but now I get notices (from MC 18) that the file format is not supported.
I can drag and drop the files from Windows explorer, and they show up on the device and play, but I would really like to manage my library through MC. Anyone else have this problem or know how to resolve it?
BTW, the X9 is on the latest firmware.

Hi,
Don't have one of these but think I know what's going on.
With the Cowon X9 connected it should appear in JR MC under Drives & Devices. Right click on it, select options, select Files Paths & more & then look at Supported Types. Guessing FLAC isn't listed. Should be as simple as adding it in & then trying to sync again
cheers,
Steve

Got it. Updated the firmware and switched device from "MTP" to "MSC."
