Ok I love JRiver (Media Center 17) .. but why on God's earth is there no simple way to save the current "Playing Now" list. I mean I listen to music for a few hours then simply want to save the final list.
Am I missing something obvious like a button or icon ?

There is an option for a function to save a playlist called "Recent Playing Nows"
It is located under "Options ->> General ->> Features ->> Recent Playing Nows" . . . if ths option is selected MC should keep several of your most recent Playing Now lists.
Unfortunately it does not seem to be working in MC18 and I recall having reported it to be a bit flaky in MC17. I was manually creating such a list before closing MC17 due to this problem.
I'd suggest you give that a try first and if it does not work then report it as a bug in MC17.
I will revisit this in MC18 and make the same report should it not work after further testing.

Select all in Playing Now, right click, send to, playlist.

Jim, this used to be automatically done if the option was selected under "Options ->> General ->> Features ->> Recent Playing Nows"
The option is still there, but the function does not appear to be.

Thanks for the help;
I figured out the "select all" and save to playlist .. that works for me. And I have seen the Playing Now "cookie trail", but I was hoping for a simple button or menu item from the playing now screen. Maybe a "feature request" ?

It seems that sometimes the Recent Playing Now's group appears, other times it does not. I don't know what triggers the issue.

Me either other than it hasn't worked for me since sometime mid-to-late MC17

So I just had about 9 Recently Playing Now items (dated today, and yesterday). I completed an album playback, and quit MC.
Upon restart, I no longer have a Recently Playing Now playlist group.
I start playback of a new album, and the Recently Playing Now group appears, with only one playlist, the album I just completed playing. All others RPN playlists are gone.
I quit MC, restart, and the RPN group is gone again. Start playback, advance a few tracks, and a single RPN playlist appears, with the currently playing items.
