Title: Help with strange tagging issue
Post by: eurodezign on December 20, 2012, 08:13:26 pm
I got JRiver as an interface for my HTPC to stream music from my Nas servers on the network, all of my music is in Wav format and more than half of the tagging comes up like this:

Ive tried looking for language settings and manually resetting the tags but no love...any suggestions?

Could you provide a sample WAV file that shows this issue to matt at jriver dot com?

You could use Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. if a file is too large to email.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the sample file.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), when I import it into Media Center it shows nice tag information.

What happens if you manually update from tags in Media Center with Library Tools > Update Library (from tags)?

What shows in the tag dump (Action Window > Tag > Click first line for tag dump)?

Also on a NAS drive?  What model?

What language is your PC set to?

Language on my PC is set to English United Kingdom.

Update library from tags does not help sadly.

I would love to get to the bottom of this.
