Title: Export list of Genres used in MC to an external file

I would like to export a list of genres used in MC to an external file (a text file or CSV or something) so I can use that data in a tagging program that I use. Is there a way to do something like that?

You need a viewscheme that displays genre and any other fields you want.
Then select all using ctrl-A
Then open excel and ctrl-V to paste

Create a smartlist that includes all the media types you want to collect Genre's from, and remove all file columns but Genre.  Export the playlist as a CSV file, selecting only Visible fields.
