Post by: buckeyewalt on December 26, 2012, 03:00:49 pm
Either I got to be the words biggest dummy,,,or I have an issue!

I am trying to view the lyrics of the individual songs as played, but nothing shows up. I to into tag,,,into tools, click on the lyrics tab so it shows up in the action windo,,,and I get nothing,,,just a cursor flash. I did a search,,tried to follow the directions there,,but still  no lyrics. I got to be doing something wrong,,,but can't figure it out. Can someone please help....!!

Thanks>>><<<

Go into the "playing now" window.
The visualization area probably shows cover art.
Right click on that and select one of the 'track info' visualizations.
Some show lyrics and some don't.
More track info visualizations can be downloaded and installed.

The vizulations I get no problem,,,it's the lyrics to the song that won't come up. I have 2 computers,,,the one I use for my music is the one I am on now,,,,on my other computer I downloaded MusicBee on the request of a buddy of mine,,,,and they have a very neat box that has a tab for coverart and another for lyrics. I can switch back and forth without any problems,,and I don't have to download anything to get that other than the program which was free. It very similar to the MC17 audio in apparance, but that about it. The neat thing was the lyrics to the music.

That said,,,,after trying what you suggested, I still cannot get the lyrics to come up.....or if I have to download something,,,where do I go to download?

Thanks Again....><

The lyrics must be stored in the 'lyrics' tag in the MC database.
It will not do an internet search and pull in lyrics in a display window.
Perhaps that's what your other program is doing, pulling them in on the fly.

So as I understand you,,,I have to put the lyrics in myself,,,and it will save it and show up when I want it?  I always thought the the lyrics was looked up on the fly by the program,,,just like the cover art....sounds like I'm wrong...or am I still in left field on this.!

There used to be a plugin that could be installed that would get lyrics on the fly.  Not sure if it's still supported or not.
