Title: Display appearance

I'm unable to locate the display appearance dialog: no "Control Panel" appears hitting "Setting"... what do I do wrong???

It's the Windows Control Panel you're looking for. It's not a setting in MJ.

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display

You're the second person I've seen ask about this. Where is everybody reading about the Display Control Panel and why is everybody trying to go there?

Look under the help file for skins. It says that the 'only' mega-me skin is the windows default, which can be changed through the control panel settings for display appearance etc.

This is obviously no longer the case, so how can we change the 'skin' to one that is identical to Windows.

Please note that Windows did not happen, the display evolved.
Why are MJ trying to re-invent the wheel? I do not know, maybe because they can. Thats fine by me, but why stop us using the 'normal round' wheels if we want to?

Please be patient on skins.  Skinning for mega-me was just added and is not finished.

Answer to Doof: since I don't feel too comfortable with the new appearance of mega-me (for instance it's very difficult to distinguish black on blue!) I've looked for "display appearance" in MJ8 Help: two arguments appear: "Skin Manager" and "Mega.me"... the sentence about the control panel is now clear to me (tks to your comment), but was unclear considering the context (I'm not english-mothertongue).

You can cange the look of the latest MJ ( 248 ) with some of these skins. Make sure you have the latest beta, which can be found in a different thread. There is an explanation on how to change them also.
