Hi,
I'm having an issue which I unfortunately cannot remember when first occured - but it occured recently.
When pausing live TV and I resume playback after perhaps 30 minutes no sound is played back. The video plays back fine, though.
Is this a known issue with a known solution?
I'm using v18.103
Best regards,
Mikkel

What kind of TV tuner device do you use? So you start playing a TV channel without time-shifting (analog device), and there is sound?

Hi Yaobing,
Can't believe I never returned to this topic. I'm very sorry.
I am still experiencing the problem. My impression is that the problem is more prominent if live TV is paused for longer periods (e.g. 30 minutes).
Oddly, I have a similar problem with lack of sound when playing back movies (maybe .ts-files) and the pc goes to sleep. When waking the pc there is no sound unless I stopp playback and press play again.
My tv-tuner: http://www.terratec.net/en/products/Cinergy_HTC_USB_XS_HD_57290.html
I will provide a log when I get time in one of the following days.
Best regards,

Maybe this is an audio setting issue?
Does your PC have to go to sleep after you pause TV for the audio problem to occur?
-
I don't know if it is an audio issue but I tested in on recorded tv and live tv where:
1. Played back the channel or file
2. Paused playback
3. Let the PC turn of the monitor after 1 minute.
The audio disappears and I have to stop and press play again to get audio back.
So this may be a more general issue with either my on-board HDMI output or JRiver.
I have attached a log-file but maybe I should post it in the general forum instead?
Best regards,
Mikkel

The log does not tell me too much, except that you are using WASAPI Event Style and Exclusive access mode. If you have not tried, please try disabling Event Style.

Tried directsound but with same result. You don't experiece the same?

I have not experienced the same.
How about continue using WASAPI, but checking "Disable event style" checkbox?
