I have an iPod Classic 120Gb and I sync smartlists to MP3 CBR 320kbps.
All music files work fine except for those from File Type SACD: some give errors while converting and some simply disappear right before the sync. :-\
JRiver MC latest version (18.0.104).

It's not possible to use DSD in all places, like conversion to MP3.
Expect this to improve with time.

I thought that since MC already converts DSD to PCM on the fly for audio reproduction, why wouldn't it convert PCM to WAV to MP3 when synching too? I am sure you got a good reason why it does not.
Ok, so CURRENTLY it is not possible but it is in your to do list. Got it. Please make sure to mention when it is fixed on the Change Log so I can try again.
Thanks!

The conversion also fails for multi channel FLAC files.

On the other hand, I can play SACD rips on my client PC with option "Always convert Audio" enabled, so the client is receiving an MP3 stream.....
How is this possible, while syncing the same track to an Ipod is not?

I would really like to be able to convert my entire library to mp3 for portable use including my multichannel Flac and multichannel DSD. When can we expect to see this feature implemented. I too always thought it was funny it could stream my multichannel files in mp3 but not convert.
