Title: OK, so I'm playing "November Rain" by Guns & Roses in a list of tracks....

and it jumps to the next song because there is that short pause before the tempo change.  I like the silence edit, but wonder if it needs tweaking?  I have had this happen on a few other tracks as well.

/me is listeng to: 'November Rain' by 'Guns N' Roses' from the album 'Use Your Illusion I' [Duration: 8:57 | 886 kbps flac (56.8 MB) | rated 4/5 | played 15 times ~ last played 46.7 days ago  (18/11/12)

Just tested this here, and around the seven minute mark, the tempo change kicks in, and here at least, MC does not skip to the next track.

The "Do not play silence" setting should only apply to the beginning and end of tracks, not during...

I've spent a little time wondering what else might affect this for you, but have come up with nothing ?

Does it not skip if you turn that feature off?

I guess that sounds obvious, and you probably tested it but you don't mention it in your post.

I have never noticed the feature skipping in the middle of a song due to silence. Alanis Morissette comes to mind, "All I Really Want". Has a second-or-so pause in the middle too, it has always played fine and I always have that feature enabled.

Could the file be corrupt?

The feature does skip large chunks of silence in the middle of a track (like for a hidden track), but it won't cause music to be missed or the track to switch.  If that's happening, something else is going on.

For what it's worth - just tested it here too (FLAC file from CD).  No issues.

Are you playing to a DLNA device? I too have experienced strange jump to next track issues sometimes when doing that, but I have not been able to reproduce. (Skip silence does not work when playing to a DLNA device so my issue should have nothing to do with that option, and for me the jump to next track has occurred in the middle of the track where there is no silence and the jump is quite obvious.)

Sorry, been in the jungle, literally, and took a while to get to an internet connection.  It turned out to be a corrupt file and fixed.

But, the very last line of "Stairway To Heaven"  is an example of a file that does cut out before the end.
