Title: Web Remote
Post by: Nila on April 12, 2002, 07:40:10 am
Hiya, the web remote is quite a nice feature.

It'd be nice however if there was a button to que songs up as well as just play them instantly.
A search facility would also be really nice too Next Page

It would be the IP Address of the PC running MJ.

Under Win95, 98, or ME, you can get it by clicking on your Start Menu, then Run, then enter in "winipcfg".
Under WinNT, 2000, or XP you can get it by clicking on Start, then Run, then typing "cmd" and then in the DOS box, type "ipconfig".

If you wanted to try it from the same PC that MJ is running on, you can just go to http://127.0.0.1

You have to start the server first. First, make you sure you have it started in Plugin Manager, then go to the Plug-ins branch of the Tree View, and choose "HTML Control Server". Then hit the Start Server button. If you want to change the port number it uses, you can, but then the address you connect to. If you changed the port number to 90, then the address would become http://127.0.0.1:9

An easier way of doing it is this if it's your computer

just type in:  http://localhost:thePortNumber

you set the port number in Media Jukebox
To access this plugin look on the left hand side where U have all the playlists, Media Library etc and there is one called Plug-ins - expand this and you can find the web remote.

A feature I would also love to see is the ability for us to add our own templates for the html pages so customise the way we see them.

Ok, thanks. But I though that Web Remote was a web interface for Music01. I use Music01 server in my intranet (at home) and I would prefer to use a web interface as client instead of MJ itself.
