Title: Expired digital certificate
Post by: Von on January 05, 2013, 06:16:07 am
I just downloaded the latest installation file, Media Center18-180626.exe. When I try to install, I see that the digital certificate expired December 1st, 2012.

Shouldn't this be renewed?

Please download directly from JRiver.  The latest build is 18.0.106.  Our code signing certificate is good for several years.

If you're instead talking about your license file, rename the exe to mjr or use a browser other than Opera to restore your license.

Oops, sorry.  :-[

I was trying the lincense file (mjr) I purchased last fall instead of the setup file (exe). That's what happens when you have Windows Explorer set to not display file extensions.

MC18 installed nicely. Do I need to reinstall the license?

It will tell you if you need to apply the license. In that case, just run the mjr file. You can also browse for the license file when prompted in MC I believe.

Yes, it asked me to apply the license. (I had to use a license restore, since my mjr file was outdated.) All is well now.

Thanks!
