I searched but most threads want something different.
Is it possible or could it be added to have a trailer option for my movies. Basically when I browse and select a movie to view its info having and option to watch a trailer would be nice. It would be pulling from imdb or apples trailers.

There was some talk about adding a Play Trailer function to the rollers for videos that contained a trailer link or url. Nothing have come of it yet though.
This link could easily be added by MC's scrapers, added manually or by other scraping applications or plugins. I think even tmdb have links to the imdb trailers?
So, a +1 from me.

I had a prominent "play trailer" option in MeediOS for about 5 years, even had it programmed onto the LCD of my Harmony remote. It's probably the biggest thing I miss after the move to MC.

It's a good idea. We should probably do it.

That would be great, Jim!

This is different than what you asked for, but there is a thread that gives instructions on how to automatically download and delete trailers and have them available in a Theater View view:

The ideal for me would be to scrape a link to a trailer when importing a movie file and it does the 'get movie and tv info' from the internet.
Basically 2 changes:
1) add the URL to the movie trailer into a tag in the MC database
2) make URL fields clickable in theater view to play the trailer from that URL
I think trailers for movies already in the library is a different feature than downloading trailers for current releases you don't have.
They both serve a different purpose.
