Title: MC18 problem with MyMovies.dk

Hello everyone!

I downloaded the free trial Media Center 18. After evaluating it I decided to buy. There's only one problem I have and as I see it it's not even MC18's fault.
MyMovies is used to get meta data and to store it in the Sidecar.xml. The issue is that My Movies is not doing this correctly when the film title contains a period. The resulting Sidecar file is named incorrectly.

Here is an example.

file name:

Film.Title.With.Period.iso
MyMovies:

Code: [Select]

Film_Title_With_Period_iso_JRSidecar.xml
Film_Title_With_Period.jpg
Correct is (as saved by JRiver Media Center):

Film.Title.With.Period_iso_JRSidecar.xml
Film.Title.With.Period.jpg
Has anyone else experienced the same behavior?

There is a topic on the MyMovies forum where I posted this issue. So far there hasn't been any reaction. If you have the same problem we may get some attention if more people start reporting the problem here:

Welcome to the forum.

Please do search the forums (advanced search) for mymovies.dk and related keywords. I've seen the topic pop up several times that I can remember but I don't use My Movies so I can't help you.

I did a advanced search but didn't find anything related to my problem.
But you agree with me that the Sidecar file generated by MyMovies is not correctly named, right? It replaces period with underscore.

I used to have My Movies and JRiver MC working together back in version 16 or 17, but with MC18 there is no reason to have My Movies. Granted it is a bit better with meta data for TV Series, but for everything else MC18 does a great job. I eventually ditched My Movies and just let MC scan and update all my movies with its Carnac.
Are you sure using My Movies is still worth the effort?  ;)

Is there a way to change the language that the MC18 scraper uses? I didn't find a lot about this in the wiki and forum. There is this post: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=76645.msg519392#msg519392 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=76645.msg519392#msg519392).
If I was able to change the language to German I would probably use MC18's scraper. But until then I'm pretty much stuck with My Movies.
