Could the ability to save PNG's be added to the image editor?
-
That would be amazing. Especially with the ability to save/create transparent backgrounds.
-
I just opened a PNG with a transparent background. When you save it to JPG it saves the transparent background as Black which unfortunately didn't work so well with the black image I had just created...
-
I agree.
Please bump this periodically until it's supported.
-
Bump.
I would also like to see the ability to rotate images to a horizon line to straighten them up, and also a blur tool.
(wrapped in time for Christmas) :)
-
Also! The ability to open EPS files would be excellent ;D
-
It's been a long time, but coming next build:
NEW: The image editor can save PNG files (just use a PNG extension on the save filename).
-
Thanks!

Thanks Matt! :)

With PNG support added, does this mean that we can read/write PNG artwork in audio tags?

As far as I know, embedded PNG files in the tags of audio files works fine.

Oh you're right, Media Center can read PNG artwork. (I thought that was still an issue)
Though if you tag a track with a PNG via MC, or convert a track containing PNG artwork, it gets converted to a lossy JPEG.
