Is the "User Manual" http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Media_Center (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Media_Center) kept up to date or should someone starting out just stick to the "Getting Started" page http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php?title=Getting_Started (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php?title=Getting_Started)?
Has anyone put together videos for noobs?
Any tips? Below is some hopefully helpful info on how I think I'll use JR and my equipment.
TIA!
Windows 7 (both XPS desktop and laptop have plenty of RAM)
300 or so CD's to rip at some point in time.
Subscription to MOG and sometimes listen to other inter-net stations.
PC > DAC > Headphone Amp > Sennheiser HD 650's
PC > DAC > Denon 3806 AVR
Will want to use EQ and DSP after I get the basics down.

The wiki topic called "Getting Started" is a good resource for beginners. "Up and Running" is for intermediates. Both are linked in my signature.

Thanks...is the user manual (link on left of Getting Started page) kept up to date?

A decent user manual in PDF format, downloadable and updated with each new release, is definitely required. Media Center ranks second to none but support in this area could be a lot better. The GUI is definitely "challenging" for new users and Wiki's "user manual" is NOT kept up to date. :'(

We have no plans to anything other than the online manual. Did you try the articles I mentioned above?

To answer the other question, the information is not always kept up-to-date.
