Hi
99% of the time I browse my MC library using Theatre View or with JRemote on my Ipad.
Fantastic, but one thing could make for a better experience, more of a niggle than a problem but because of it I tend to stay away from browsing for music by Genre.
When I browse by playlist I have it set to additionally display at next level down by Artist and Album.
This is much better than having a long playlist display by listed track and having to trawl through a long list.
Can "browse by genre" be set up in a similar way?
At the moment it's a case of trawling through a list of individual tracks, which is not ideal.
I say By Genre, in my MC it's actually a custom tag field "Styles" which I have set up to allow multiple comma deliminated entries for genre, rather than just the stock one entry "Genre" field.
Thanks!

Yes, you can configure the Genre menu to sort exactly as you wish. The key to this is understanding that the views are configured separately for each of Standard view, Theater View, Web services (Gizmo, JRemote etc), and DLNA.
Theater View is configured in Tools/Options/Theater View.
Web views (for JRemote) are configured in Tools/Options/Media/Network/Advanced.
Alter the Genre menu in each of the above as you prefer.
