I have been running MC18 for a few months and love it. I had something like 1500 flacs added to it. Last night, I ripped about 30 cds, added them to the same folder on the computer, but no mattter what I do when I run import they don't show up. Any idea whats going on? It seems very weird.
Thanks

It sounds like you're not ripping them in MC then?
What happens if you drag and drop them onto MC?
-
Thats right, I use dbripper, which I did for the existing tracks in the library. I haven't tried to drag and drop yet. This is just importing. I also deleted everything from the library and started again but it just added the ones I had been able to important sucessfully before and not the new ones.

Make sure you have the latest build of MC18 installed. Please report what you have.

My guess is that they were imported (perhaps before they were done ripping?) and detected as the wrong [Media Type].

That cannot be possible as I ripped them to another folder completely, before moving them over and running auto-import. No errors on the indepth summary - its just like it cannot see them - but they are flacs, which is the same format as the others already successfully imported.

MrC (or anyone else who knows), what is the keyword to search All Databases without making a view specifically for this purpose?

I don't know if this can be done. The stock views limit to the main database, and to given media types, and adding the database modifier or additional query terms to Search only narrows the results. There's no way to expand the query, or override already set terms.
So you'd need a view that has no preexisting query terms; hence the playlist approach.
Database selectors are defined here:

That's what I suspected. Thanks.

Now this is weird. I turned my computer on this morning...and there they are, all the files are suddenly appearing.!? What happened?
