Post by: thezone on January 18, 2013, 06:36:45 pm
Can I tune into DAB+ or FM channels using a PC DAB card?

No. I don't believe so. If you get a TV card (either DVB-S or DVB-T in the UK at least) then you can tune into DVB Radio.

I have a tv card for DVB-T which works fine in MC but the card also supports DAB+ for FM radio but I cant work out how to tune into fm through it.

It definitely does NOT have FM Tuner support.  I asked about it once long ago and the answer was something like "maybe eventually, but it isn't real high on our priority list".

I'm a 'Mercian so I don't know about the other stuff.

If it works, you'd set it up as though it was a TV channel in the TV setup section of options, and access it under the TV Tuner area of the tree.

DVB radio channels appear alongside the TV channels. There's no DAB support.

Is there much of a difference in bitrate between DAB+ and DVB radio?

This is what I can tune into with my DVB-S card:
