Title: How may I get MJ to sync to a harddrive?
Post by: chrisjj on January 18, 2013, 07:13:20 pm
How may I get MJ to sync to a harddrive, in the same way as it does to a USB stick? I have M: mapped (using SUBST) to a C: folder, and I want to sync files to there.

This
http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?action=printpage;topic=46013.0 suggests it is possible.

But MJ shows my M: under Drives and Devices and a drive not a device, i.e. with no Sync Now option.

Thanks.

(Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.)

You'll want to use the Handheld Sync.  I don't know how well it works in MJ.

There have been many, many handheld sync and conversion fixes since MJ was last updated, most of them in MC17 and MC18.  Frankly, this is one area alone worth the price of the MC18 upgrade.

Weird! Thanks - yes, I find one must add a handheld device with Device path set the the drive letter.

Good to know - thanks.
