can MC tell us the number of bits & khz on a file on the computer -
audacity has been converting some files on a record to 32bit/92 KHz as instructed, but some files seem to be (as reported by ELyrica and my psaudio dac) as 16 bit/48.
can MC tell me just what parameters i actually have?

There is a button on the toolbar that will display a dialog that shows the input format and output format and any active DSP options for what is currently playing. Hover over the toolbar button (the button in blue in the following screenshot) and you'll see the info. In the screenshot I'm playing a 24 bit 96 kHz flac file. Output to the DAC is getting changed to 32 bit 96 kHz.
