Title: how to stop jriver veiwing raw image files?
Post by: glob on January 21, 2013, 02:49:23 am
With my camera, I always shoot "jpeg + raw" mode.  So when I upload images to PC i have duplicate images, one jpeg and the other raw.  In jrmc under image I can use the "file" view and select "jpeg".  However, I want to only view jpegs in the other view options too.

I have told jriver I do not want it to be my default viewer for raw images.  I can see how I can cache raw files in different ways.  But can I stop it from reading raw files?  Can I tell it I do not want it to read any kind of audio, video, or image file?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

That will take care of the file association, ie. what happens when you double click on one in explorer...

To stop MC importing raw files into your library, you need to apply the instruction under auto-import.

Tools > Import > Configure Auto Import
Select the images folder, click the Edit button, untick RAW image file types, finally, OK your way all the way back out.

You're welcome. There's also a setting that imports files automatically when played if they're not already imported. Always worth considering whether or not you want that enabled.

Press ctrl+O to open options, and enter automatically in the search field at the bottom to reveal the aforementioned option.
