Hey,
According to http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=65418.msg438518, subtitles are used if they have [Name]{extra information|}.{srt|sub|whatever}. I'm streaming a video over media network with external subtitles and it seems that the whole folder's worth of subtitles (it's a TV series) are given to me to display and it defaults to the first subtitle file in the folder even if I'm playing the second episode.
Is this correct behaviour, or am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks.

And http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Subtitles#Technical_Details says that we can put the subtitles in a Subs or Sub or Subtitle or Subtitles folder. It doesn't seem to work over Media Network...

Have you found any solution yet?
I have the same situation here. When playing a film with subtitles over media network it shows every subtitle in the media's folder. So every time I watch an episode I have to select the correct subtitles.

The content directory should only show one subtitle per file. The subs are tied to the filename of the chosen video file.
I assume you are playing to a Samsung renderer? As far as I know those are the only ones that can use separate subs (.srt .sub) without conversion.

Nope, I'm streaming over Media Network (both server and client)
