Long time listener, first time caller...
I like the WAV file tagging feature in JRiver, but I'm flummoxed by the way it's working right now. I have a large number of vinyl rips stored as WAV files and JRiver auto tagged them with Japanese characters. Unfortunately, that's not a language I know how to read. I even went in and manually edited the tags to English only to have JRiver overwrite the English tags with Japanese. When I scroll through artists or titles with JRemote, the bottom half of the database (after the letter Z) is in Japanese making it tough to select the album I want to play.
If it would just display the WAV file name in English, I could work with that. I could convert and tag them in FLAC, but I have nearly a hundred album rips with over a thousand tracks. That would be big job just to get the tagging right.
Anyone know a way to fix this? Thanks.
Russ

This was fixed not too long ago. What version are you running?
If it is not recent, try updating.

There was a bug where MC could incorrectly read certain WAV tags. It should be fixed in new builds.
Please update to the latest version of MC 18, then pick your files and do Right-click > Library Tools > Update Library (from tags).

It's good that you posted, as I keep forgetting the critical Update Library (from tags) step. This will be the last time I forget. :-)

This bug is yet to be fixed in Windows 8. I tried updating library and clearing library but no luck so far :(
