I am getting the following message:
Media Center 18.exe - No Disk
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \device\hardisk4\DR4
I don't know why I am gettin this error. I was messing around with the Play Doctor and I picked a song that is a WMA file in my collection - accidently - that I am having DRM issues with.
Not sure if that is the reason but let me know if there is something I can do or provide to help. Seems to me that if the track doesn't work it should just pick another??

We've had a couple reports of this, but don't know what is happening.
Could you send a log showing it happen (Help > Logging) to logs at jriver dot com?
Thanks.

I get the same message.
Using windows 8.
I have to click continue for drive f then g then h then i.
These drives are for a card reader. MC doesn't auto import from them.
In windows i can't figure out how to remove the drive letters. They annoy me.
When i have a change, hopefully tomorrow, i will send a log.

I already removed the file from my library - as I couldn't play it anyway. So not able to provide a log at this time. If it shows up again I will submit the log - but I was using the play doctor - selected that particular song (well I typed in the song name - and that is the one that was chosen - as there are several versions of the song). The version happened to be a WMA file that I transferred from my old computer but it wouldn't play due to DRM issues. After removing that file from library error went away.

Are you using 18.0.128? It's at the top of the MC18 board.
-
i think my first log was from 18.0.126
I just sent another from 18.0.128
Its only happening using my portable install that has my library.
Regular install (with no library) has no message when starting.
The message only displays on my one pc with the 4 slot card reader.
All other pc's are message free including laptops with sd slots.
Im away from the pc that displays the message for the next 10 days so i can't post any updates for a while.

I'm getting this error with a regular install of MC .128
I emailed you a log this morning.

My 'No Disk' message has stopped.
It happened like this:
I put a dvd in my drive and for the first time in a while MC started message free.
MC now starts fine with or with a disk in the drive.

I hadn't seen this thread before.
I can't help you with the weird MC bug, but...
USBDLM (http://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbdlm_e.html)
Go get it. Now. A little fidgety to set up (not really fidgety, old school). But it works and it works right, without issue.
