Title: Media Network - DLNA - Video Encoder - how does it work?
Post by: hcshrader on February 01, 2013, 07:54:22 pm
The Generic DLNA setting for Video/Encoder is MP4 Low (best for phones). When i stream a film, I'm getting DD or DTS (whatever is on the file).

I wonder what the purpose of this encoder choice is and how it is suppose to work. I don't want MP4 sound for my videos and am not getting it but since it is the applied default...not sure i understand.

What device are you playing to and how?
The DLNA server settings aren't used everywhere, for example in Gizmo when you are playing to the device.
