If you mean the gradient on the text at the top and bottom of the tree and file list - "G" here:

then I too would like to know how to remove this.

ps:if i remember in mc12 there's not gradient
ps2:so u are happy with this classic skin :) u don't prefer the metro one?

im not sure, but is the gradient from the upper G not coming from the MainFrame_TopBorder file?

Main frame top border is the playerbar and bottom border doesn't have gradient have already checked this (same idea)
Haven't any clues in the main.xml too :(

All skins have gradient.
