Hello All....I just built a a media server, loaded Windows 8 and J River. When I try to connect to Webgizmo via the web I get a page not found. Also, within J River when I select "test connection" I get the same message. I tested my firewall and J River has access. I believe it may be with one of my Administrative Services not running to allow localhost access by I cannot seem to find the correct one.... any suggestions to trouble shoot? Thanks-

Check the Windows 8 Software Firewall.
You'll probably need to add a Port Exception to that firewall as well:

Thank you... will do and let you know the outcome...

Still no luck... turned off firewall, restarted and still get page not found. Also, I started the IIs webservices in administrative tools and not luck. Can not figure why my browser is not connecting to WebGizmo... any more suggestions?

You don't need to do this, MC runs the "web server" for itself all on it's own.
What address are you trying to use to connect?
It needs to be:
http://<YOUR_SERVER_IP_HERE>:<MC_PORT_HERE>
Also, make sure it is turned on in MC itself on that machine, and that MC is running at the time. By the way: if you activate the Run Library Server option in Options > Startup, it will minimize itself to the tray in Library Server only mode when you close MC "proper" automatically.
There's no reason not to do this. MC is very lightweight in this mode (mine is currently using less than 50MB of total system working set memory).

I think I am getting closer:
When I enter: http://192.168.1.21:52199/ it defaults to the /LibraryServer/ page
When I select the WebGizmo feature I still get page not found and this url is displayed (http://192.168.1.21:52199/Gizmo/) oops broken link.
While on the Library page when I select LibraryServer it says "Error Loading Library" however it does take me to MC

Now I'm really confused...
So you get the front page, like this:

And when you click on what?
You don't click on Library Server. That loads MC and connects to the Library in question (I think). You want WebGizmo. The second one down.

the url is faulty, it should be http://192.168.1.21:52199/gizmo/
