Title: various/multiple artists compile

Is it possible to take single song downloads and compile them is one various artist album? I don't want single songs to show up as albums.

Yes.

Use [album artist] for various artists, keep [artist] as the original song artist and set [album] to something you make up. Move the files to the same folder on disk and MC should keep those tracks together as a compilation album.
