By CD's you must mean albums.
Maybe you have multi-disk albums with the same album name for each disk.
Are you short tracks or just albums?

When the Import finishes, there is a report.
It will say "Imported ___ new files" "Failed to import ___ files" " ___ files bad "
Click on the checkbox next to "Show in-depth summary" to get exactly which files failed to import (you may need to maximize the window).
I found that audio files that failed or were found to be bad, actually were:
* Corrupt files that won't play in any play (and never played since the corruption occurred on the hard drive )
* Files with embedded cue sheets where the FILE reference in the cue sheet was not the same filename
* Files with filenames or paths that were too long
* Cue files where the FILE reference in the cue file was not the same (usually pointing to a deleted WAV file)
-
If the file name is too long they won't import either.
This is also noted in the import results
I think the max characters is 256.

oh well. now i gotta figure how to get the mp4 to show up.
You are trying to get MP4 files to show up in what ? MC ? Windows Explorer ?
By default, they should be imported by MC.

I think mp4 can be used for audio or video.
MC shows it under video but this can be changed.
Are your files video or audio?
