Title: Possible Switch From WMC - Metadata and CoverFlow layout
Post by: mark_anderson_us on February 10, 2013, 05:48:10 pm
Hi Guys

I'm considering switching from WMC. I have 4 SD HomeRun tuners for OTA (no cable). Large collection of ripped DVd and BD (all full res with HD audio) on a NAS (unRAID)

I really like the media browsers harmony theme, esp the coverflow: you go from genres to movies and all the time get poster art (see here: http://community.mediabrowser.tv/permalinks/2128/skin-harmony-spacing-of-the-posters-in-coverflow) I can't find a way to get anything similar in JRiver

Also, I use meta browser for meta data. The thing I like the best is the ability to fetch posters and backdrops and select which you want. It just saves these in the movie folder, and I can have as many posters as I like for backdrops. It rotates through them. I can't see anything similar in JRiver

Where can I find a list of available themes too?

Regards

Mark

I assume you have MC18 installed and you have found Theater View.

I'm sorry if you find a particular view missing.  MC isn't the same as any other program.  It may take a little time to be comfortable with it.

On our Third Party board, you will find some Theater View skins.  Theater View can also be customized under Tools/Options/Theater View.
