Title: Issue with updating aif files
Post by: dean70 on February 14, 2013, 05:31:46 pm
I have noticed that each time you play an aiff format file from a HDTracks download, JRiver modifies the file each time. This causes auto import to update the library each time. I have downloaded 2 albums in aiff format from HDTracks and they both do the same thing.

I have also ripped cd's in aiff format and these tracks do not get updated after play. Is there a tag issue with the downloaded files?

Sorry, this is an old thread, but I couldn't reproduce the problem while testing it today.  The file was identical before and after playback.  Is this still an issue?

I resolved it by turning off update tags option in AIF files (somewhere under Input plugin settings from memory?). The only issue with this is to import a new album & update cover art, etc, I have to re-enable it, do the changes and disable again each time.

It only seems to occur with certain AIF files (mainly the HDTracks donwloads).

Could you mail a sample that has the problem to adam (at) jriver (dot) com?

Thanks.
