Title: Using Atom windows 8 tablet as "treemote client"?
Post by: flac.rules on February 17, 2013, 03:18:42 pm
I was considering using a win8 tablet to controll my home and media (as a sort of remote), anyone have any experience with using an atom tablet as a "tremote", that is using it to control MC (gizmo is a bit lacking in features)

I guess i have two questions:

1. Will this work ok with only touch?
2. Is an atom powerful enough too use for this purpose and give a smooth experience?

I use a asus vivotab smart tablet which has an atom processor.

MC18 works well on it, especially when using in theater view mode, then it is really touch based.

Offcourse it would be better if MC had a native Win8 metro app.
