how do we add additional categories, e.g. 60's, etc.,  into the genre list ?

Highlight the file(s) you want to change, right click, Properties, left click in the Genre field, key in whatever please you, click on Save.  Just don't start your genre names with digits, because it screws things up (MJ sometimes interprets them as ASCII codes; has to do with the space="32" issue).  Use "Rock 60s" or "Jazz 60s" or something like that.
