Title: low volume on dialogue during video playback
Post by: tcman41 on February 23, 2013, 05:24:50 am
Gave up on xbmc, it is brain dead when it comes to network drives and windows 8, now using MC18 for everything.

I have now watched three different movies in MC18, the video quality looks better than xbmc but I am having problems with the audio.

The movies are encoded at 1080P .mkv,. most with 5.1 soundtracks, both video/audio is being feed to the tv via hdmi cable from my computer connected to my wireless lan.

During playback the dialogue is so low in volume I can barely hear it, so I have to turn it way up, then when sound effects, gun shots, car revs etc happen I get blown out of my seat.

Anybody else been experiencing this?
thanks

Away back in 2011 I was experiencing the same thing. It's a common problem.

There are some possible solutions for you in that thread: Red October HQ - Loud music, virtually inaudible speech (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=64914.0)
