Title: Switching Output devices . . . fast

I currently have two DAC's that I need to switch between from the same music server.

In order to do that, I have to go to Tools > Options > Output Mode Settings > Device (down arrow)

Then I select the device I want and then click OK on two different screens.

I'm not complaining about MC as I recognize my situation is unusual.

But is there a way for me to use a macro or some expedited method for accomplishing that switch?

If not within MC, if there's even a Windows 8 compatible macro or some other method, I would be interested in hearing about that option as well.

Zones.

Check the wiki.  But that's exactly what they're for.  With MC18's new ZoneSwitch feature, you can even completely automate it, so that some files are handled one way, and others another, based on predefined rules.

Honestly, I posted this message believing I was going to get a lot of well-intentioned but cumbersome solutions.

I never imagined an option like this would exist.

I can't wait to try it.

To the designers of MC, if there's a user-control option you guys have missed, I haven't found it yet.

I continue to be impressed and sometimes, assuming the zone option works for me, even amazed.
