I know that MC 18 can play Blu-Ray discs, but can it burn Blu-Ray discs? I'm interested in backing up some of my music, videos, and even data to Blu-Ray discs and wanted to know if MC can burn data to blank Blu-Ray discs. And, if it can, what are the basic steps to do so. Thanks for any answers you can provide! :)

I doubt it - that's not it's intention and its blu-ray playback is not the same as, say, a commercial bluray software player.
Why not just use Imgburn?

I haven't tried, but I can't see any reason why MC shouldn't be able to burn to any drive that's supported by Windows. I guess someone with a Blu-ray burner can give the definitive answer :)

Sure, mail me a pack of BD-RE's and I'll try. Those things ain't cheap

What happens if you click Burn Disc in the Action Window? On my system I get the error "Please ensure a suitable burner is installed...etc.", if your burner is supported it should give a Insert Disc error instead, I guess?

Many thanks to everyone that responded! I had not heard of Imgburn, which I was pleased to discover is free. Thanks to Rick_RT for that suggestion. With that as an option, my hesitation to buy an external blu-ray burner is gone because I know it will work with Imgburn. Once I get the external blu-ray burner, I'll then be able to test it with JRiver to see if JRiver can write to Blu-Rays as well. Once I do that I'll post and update with my results. Many thanks, again, for all the responses!

Cool :) Let ut know how it works out!
Neco, have you tried burning CD-Rs or DVD-Rs with MC and your burner? If that works, I can't really see why putting a writable Blu-ray in the drive should make any difference.

I was just making a half-hearted joke, actually. :P
